NTN Heartland Rankings - Oct 1, 2004

The NTN regional rankings are the basis of the NTN team selection process. The top two teams in each region at the end of the season will be invited to compete in the Nike Team Nationals in Portland Dec. 4. The third and fourth place teams in each region are considered for the four national at-large selections.

2 Yankton SD (3) - dominates home invite as #2 girl now running close to natl. contender Ramsey Kavan
3 Iowa City West IA (2) - dominates home invite with 15:08 4k avg on fast course
4 Lakeville MN (9) - wins Griak meet by 4 over SF Roos. with 19:53 5k avg
5 Roosevelt Sioux Falls SD (10) - 2nd by 4 to Lakeville at Griak, in big multi-state meet
6 Hopkins MN (NR) - 3rd by 13 at Griak meet
7 Marquette MO (NR) - wins Fox meet by 2, missing one runner, with 20:04 5k avg on fast course
8 Lees Summit N. MO (6) - 2nd to West Plains at Hancock on hilly course
