NTN Midwest Rankings - Sep 17, 2004

The NTN regional rankings are the basis of the NTN team selection process. The top two teams in each region at the end of the season will be invited to compete in the Nike Team Nationals in Portland Dec. 4. The third and fourth place teams in each region are considered for the four national at-large selections.

National #1 York opens with dual meet this Thursday, with first invitational on Sept. 25. Milford wins Midwest Meet of Champs over several ranked teams with
16:29 5k average. Carmel wins its home invite after previously defeating Hamilton SE with 16:36 5k average in country meet. Hamilton SE a close 2nd to Milford in Midwest meet.		 Clarkston defeats several ranked teams to win Midwest Meet of Champs with 19:03 5k average. Bowling Green is close runner-up in Midwest meet. Naperville has times equating to mid-19s for hilly 5k. Waukesha West has tight pack and excellent depth, splitting its squad last weekend.
