Boys Race - The race started fast with the first mile just over 5:00, Nick Bolinder of Boise pushing the pace followed by a tight pack of 5 runner that included his teammate Bryant Denson and the eventual winner Taylor Farnsworth of Highland (Pocatello) At the 3K point Farnsworth took over and surged away to a comfortable margin. The team race was almost over before it began as NW#6 Boise bunched together and blew the field apart finishing 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10 with only a 37 second gap 1 to 5 and 38 seconds 1 to 6. Girls race - Anne Lovelace of Boise took the lead at the 1K point and was never pressed. In the team competition Lovelace's teammates steadily moved up and distanced themselves from the competition. Winning easily with 4 in the top 15. Next up for the Braves is the Bob Firman Invite on the 24th. The meet promises to be an exciting one with SW#1/US#3 Fremont girls and SW#6 Mtn View of Orem, UT set to duel it out in the Girls Elite race. The Boys Elite race promises to be just as exciting with 3 NTN ranked teams going at it, NW#6 Boise, SW#5 Rock Springs and SW#2 Mtn View of Orem, UT.
