HL#1/US#4 Yankton Lady Gazelles sweep the
first 6 places and had 3 harriers under 15:00, with Becky
Bies in 13:44; Amanda Kuchta in 14:45;
and Ashley Storm in 14:53. There was and
outstanding pack running by the next three Gazelles who came in at a
15:07 tie for Kristin Sternhagen and Tiffany
Leader with 8th grader Mariah
Hofer not far behind in 15:16. Emily Smith also
breaks 16:00 with a personal best 15:49. Julie
Selves runs 16:39 to round out the top 8 runners for the Gazelles. Laura
Wilcox and Dorothy Kiechle turn in
stellar efforts to close out the Gazelles scoring in personal best times.
Sufian Kimo of Norfolk and Jon
Williams of HL#3 Yankton Bucks
switched their places from a week ago. Sean
Fitzsimmons continues to regain his strength finishing
third. Brad
Anderson closes
strong in fifth and a nice bit of pack running by the Bucks 4-8 runners
(Aaron Steward 16:43; Sam
Dannenbring 16:58; Bryce Somer 16:59
- nice rebound from last week's meet; Ty Dannenbring 17:06
- a little rusty in his season debut but a great effort nevertheless;
and Nate
Hicks 17:07). Huge effort by Sean Durham 17:50
- his best race to date as a Buck. And improving efforts by Steven
Valenscin and Jon
Egge.
