Jared Huske's 36.93 300H is Kansas #2 all time.

Friday

Topeka City Track Carnival @ Hummer Sports Park, Topeka 5/6/05
Jared Huske (Highland Park-Topeka) ran 36.93 (the second fastest time ever by a Kansas high schooler) to win the 300H at the Topeka City Track Carnval, held in glorious 70 degree weather. Huske also won the 110H (13.9), and the 100 (10.8), and ran on 42.75 4 x 100 winner. Brandon Wenger (Seaman-Topeka) won the LJ (22-3.5), and teammate Grant Cain the 1600 (4:33.62) and 800 (2:05.13). J.P. Myers (Hayden-Topeka) won the 3200 in 10:00.10.
On the girl's side Sasha Spann (Highland Park-Topeka) appears recovered from and early season injury, winning the TJ (40-8.5) and LJ (16-10.5). Alicia Newberry (Shawnee Heights-Topeka) won the 200 (25.98) and 400 (59.51), LaKisha Lane (Highland Park-Topeka) won the 100H (15.5) and 300H (48.48) and Seaman's Autumn Kidwell won the 1600 (5:33.88) and 800 (2:26.02).

Sabetha Invitational, Sabetha HS
Wamego rolled to the boys team title with 188 points, with host Sabetha second with 80. Sabetha won the girls title with 130.5 points with Marysville second with 103.
Hiawatha's Andrew Jones won the disc at 180-4, going over 180 for the second week in a row, and the shot at 49-2. Wamego ruled the sprints with Brandon Diederich winning the 200 (22.40) and 400 (51.97) and Lance Bonderer the 100 (10.69).
Sabetha's girls were led by Erin Winkler who won the 800 (2:26.83) and 1600 (5:33.80). Other top marks included Bern's Maria Baumgartner winning the LJ (17-0.5) and TJ (34-0.5) and a 10-7 PV from Allyson Slupianek (Marysville).

Derby Invitational
Justin Cole led Derby to the boys team title with wins in the 100 (10.44), 200 (22.32), and 400 (49.2). Derby scored 113 points to shade Heights-Wichita (105). Heights was led by Tevas Everett, who won the 800 (1:59.57) and Bryce Wilson, who won the 110H (14.02).
Garden City won the girls team title with 151 points, with Kapaun-Mt.Carmel-Wichita second with 108. Latisha Brown led Garden City, winning the LJ at 18-4.75. Janae Voelker (Newton) won the JT (136-9) and SP (45-3) and Terri Anderson (Campus-Haysville) the DT (144-0)
