CLASS AA:
HL#7 Stevens Rapid City wins 10th straight boys title.
HL#2 Yankton girls edge HL#8 Roosevelt Sioux Falls.

HL#7 Stevens-Rapid City romped to a tenth straight boys title, winning with 44 points, with Yankton second with 121 and Lincoln-Sioux Falls third with 130.  Marshall Kambestad led Stevens, winning the individual title in a time of 16:26.  Kambestad broke from the pack of leaders mid-way through the race with a series of surges.  Darrell Tuttle of Rapid City Central was second at 16;41, and Mitch Fields (16:50 Aberdeen Central), Jon Williams (Yankton 17:02) and Alex Homgren (Stevens-Rapid City 17:04) finished out the top five.
In a tight and exciting girls team race, HL#2 Yankton and HL#8 Roosevelt-Sioux Falls both put four runners into the top fifteeen, with Yankton edging out the win 56-60.  Stevens-Rapid City was a close third with 69.  Ramsey Kavan (Yankton) roared over the sloppy, wet course for a meet record 15:00 4k and won easily.  Krista Eckert (15:31) and Allison Eckert (15;34) went 2-3 for Roosevelt, with Betsy Bies (Yankton 15:44) and Paige Orcutt (O'Gorman-Sioux Falls 15:45) fourth and fifth.
