Outlook: The Huskies snuck in to the state dance with a 5th place tie at Schaumburg. This is a very young squad with lots of experience. Sophomore all-State runner Kevin Havel leads the way. This team is a bout a year away from a trophy. Look fo them to finish in the top 10.

Aurora Waubonsie Valley 3rd - Waubonsie Valley Sectional

9/3 Aurora City 1st – 28 pts
B.Carius 15:45 J.Gibbs (13) 15:48 A.Venougpal (17) 16:02 B.Yohannes (25) 16:10 B.Tremblay (52) 16:37

10/22 Aurora West Regional 1st – 47 pts

10/29 Waubonsie Valley Sectional 3rd – 105 pts
B.Carius 15:17 B.Yohannes (12) 15:29 J.Gibbs (23) 15:40 P.Happ (45) 16:02 M.Schumacher (45) 16:02

Outlook: Coach Dave Severance’s team has improved meet by meet since the Woodruff Invite. Brent Carius has been consistent as the Waubonsie’s front runner. The emergence of Senior Brooks Yohannes has been a huge plus. If Paul Happ can be within 30 seconds of Carius, the Warriors have a shot at a top 5 finish.

Barrington 3rd - Schaumburg Sectional

9/17 Argo 1st – 41 pts
N.Farina 15:39 J.Tomek (12) 15:51 M.Laugal (14) 15:53 B.Johannesson (29) 16:08 K.Fairleigh (44) 16:23

10/1 Peoria Central 3rd – 128 pts
N.Farina 15:13 J.Tomek (2) 15:15 M.Laugal (26) 15:39 M.Barnes (31) 15:44 D.Quarfoot (48) 16:01
10/15 MSL 2nd – 67 pts
N.Farina 15:28 M.Laugal (-) 15:28 J.Tomek (11) 15:39 M.Barnes (29) 15:57 D.Quarfoot (37) 16:05
10/22 Libertyville Regional 1st – 46 pts
N.Farina 15:35 M.Laugal (13) 15:48 J.Tomek (23) 15:58 M.Barnes (26) 16:01 D.Quarfoot (46) 16:21
10/29 Schaumburg Sectional 3rd – 120 pts
N.Farina 15:25 J.Tomek (15) 15:40 M.Barnes (34) 15:59 M.Laugal (38) 16:03 D.Quarfoot (59) 16:24

Outlook: The Broncos did not run their best race at the Sectional. Look for a great recovery from senior Mike Laugal. Expect him to be with his other senior running mates Nick Farina and Josh Tomek. If Barrington can get their split to 45 seconds again and Farina in the top 20, the sky is the limit for this team.

Bloomington 4th - East Peoria Sectional

9/3 Hinsdale 6th – 167 pts
B.Nathan 16:07 R.Barkulis (8) 16:15 J.Waldorf (42) 16:49 J.Roig (53) 17:00 D.Rever (58) 17:05
9/10 Peoria Woodruff 13th – 435 pts
B.Nathan 16:01 J.Waldorf (31) 16:32 R.Barkulis (47) 16:48 D.Rever (74) 17:15 J.Roig (84) 17:25
9/24 East Peoria 1st – 74 pts
B.Nathan 16:06 R.Barkulis (22) 16:28 J.Waldorf (31) 16:37 J.Roig (41) 16:47 A.Szabo (59) 17:05
10/1 Peoria Central 7th – 292 pts
B.Nathan 15:38 R.Barkulis (6) 15:44 J.Waldorf (37) 16:15 D.Rever (46) 16:24 J.Roig (52) 16:30
10/22 Normal West Regional 1st – 37 pts
B.Nathan 15:56 D.Rever (8) 16:04 R.Barkulis (10) 16:06 J.Roig (35) 16:31 J.Waldorf (43) 16:39
10/29 East Peoria Sectional 4th – 174 pts
B.Nathan 15:59 D.Rever (14) 16:13 J.Roig (26) 16:25 J.Waldorf (30) 16:29 A.Szabo (52) 16:51

Outlook: This was not the best effort of the year for Coach John Szabo’s squad. But they will still toe the line on Saturday. Ben Nathan has been the key all season for this team with his front running. Expect a huge boost from Senior Rob Barkulis. Bloomington could finish in the top ten or the bottom ten depending on where Nathan finishes.

Cary-Grove 4th - Waubonsie Valley Sectional

9/3 Crystal Lake South 1st – 72 pts
R.Weber 17:28 M.McNamara (25) 17:53 B.Keating (28) 17:56 M.Zasadil (32) 18:00 M.Klein (64) 18:32
9/10 Wauconda 1st – 85 pts
R.Weber 16:16 M.McNamara (24) 16:40 B.Keating (27) 16:43 M.Zasadil (36) 16:52 E.Ozarowski (55) 17:11
9/24 Palatine 6th – 243 pts
R.Weber 15:10 B.Keating (14) 15:24 M.McNamara (20) 15:30 M.Zasadil (31) 15:41 M.Klein (38) 15:48
10/1 Peoria Central 4th – 185 pts
M.McNamara 15:17 R.Weber (-) 15:17 B.Keating (21) 15:38 M.Zasadil (33) 15:50 M.Klein (75) 16:32
10/15 FVC 2nd – 71 pts
B.Keating 15:48 R.Weber (12) 16:00 M.Zasadil (24) 16:12 D.Fallon (59) 16:47 M.Klein (62) 16:50
10/22 Woodstock Regional 3rd – 74 pts
R.Weber 16:20 B.Keating (11) 16:31 M.Zasadil (24) 16:44 M.Klein (32) 16:52 D.Fallon (76) 17:36
10/29 Waubonsie Valley Sectional 4th – 161 pts
R.Weber 15:17 B.Keating (26) 15:43 M.Zasadil (40) 15:57 M.Klein (52) 16:09 M.McNamara (81) 16:38

Outlook: The late Jim Valvano stated that the NCAA tournament was a war. You just survive and advance. That is what the Trojans did when they advanced to their first state final. Ryan Weber ran his best race of the season and can expect a top 25 finish this weekend. The status of Junior Mike McNamara is up in the air. If he is fully recovered, Cary can be in the top 10. They need a split under 60 seconds to achieve this.

Chatham-Glenwood 3rd - Edwardsville Sectional

9/17 Peoria Notre Dame NS
R.Carrigan 15:24 J.Garrett (35) 15:59 Z.Underwood (75) 16:39 C.Gray (108) 17:12 B.Johnson (124) 17:28
10/1 Loyola Lakefront 7th – 244 pts
R.Carrigan 16:30 R.Cunningham (37) 17:07 Z.Undewood (45) 17:15 J.Garrett (50) 17:20 B.Johnson (78) 17:48
10/22 Springfield Lanphier Regional 2nd – 50 pts
R.Carrigan 15:45 R.Cunningham (41) 16:26 Z.Underwood (57) 16:42 N.Anderson (63) 16:48 G.Staley (92) 17:17
10/29 Edwardsville Sectional 3rd – 102 pts
R.Carrigan 16:15 R.Cunningham (-) 16:15 Z.Underwood (50) 17:05 N.Anderson (51) 17:06 B.Johnson (81) 17:36

Outlook: Coach Mike Johnson’s squad keeps getting better and better. The pack running of Ryan Cunningham with front runner Ryan Carrigan has given this team a great one- two punch. They should improve on their finish from last season this weekend.

Edwardsville 1st - Edwardsville Sectional

9/3 Granite City 1st – 92 pts
D.Davis 15:10 A.Josselyn (88) 16:38 C.Vance (94) 16:44 D.Dudding (97) 16:47 E.Johanningmeier (101) 16:51
9/10 Peoria Woodruff 9th – 300 pts
D.Davis 15:17 D.Dudding (76) 16:33 A.Josselyn (81) 16:38 C.Vance (82) 16:39 E.Johanningmeier (85) 16:42
9/17 Edwardsville 1st – 29 pts
D.Davis 16:02 D.Dudding (67) 17:09 C.Vance (80) 17:22 E.Johanningmeier(88) 17:30 J.Goodhue (96) 17:36
10/1 Peoria Central 9th – 302 pts
D.Davis 15:07 E.Johanningmeier(39) 15:46 C.Vance (66) 16:13 B.Ryan (80) 16:27 J.Goodhue (92) 16:39
10/8 Centralia 1st – 45 pts
D.Davis 15:21 A.Josselyn (61) 16:22 B.Ryan (62) 16:23 C.Vance (69) 16:30 E.Johanningmeier (72) 16:33
10/22 Alton Regional 1st – 23 pts
D.Davis 15:17 A.Josselyn (60) 16:17 E.Johanningmeier(61) 16:18 C.Vance (76) 16:33 D.Dudding (85) 16:42
10/29 Edwardsville Sectional 1st – 56 pts
D.Davis 15:36 B.Ryan (50) 16:26 A.Josselyn (63) 16:39 C.Vance (81) 16:57 D.Dudding (89) 17:05
Outlook: Maybe the best team outside of the Chicago area. The Tigers have been relying on great front running from Senior Dustin Davisand a tight pack behind him to get the job done. George Patrylak needs to have his team with a 70 second 1-5 split to be in the top 10.

Elmhurst York 1st - Niles West Sectional

9/24 Palatine 1st – 57 pts
E.Dettman 14:24 M.Dettman (17) 14:41 D.Montgomery (17) 14:41 M.Fry (27) 14:51 R.Stefani (38) 15:02
10/1 Peoria Central 1st – 42 pts
M.Dettman 14:32 E.Dettman (10) 14:42 D.Montgomery (22) 14:54 R.Stefani (52) 15:24 L.Montenegro (52) 15:24
10/15 WSCS 1st – 23 pts
E.Dettman 15:09 M.Dettman (12) 15:21 D.Montgomery (15) 15:24 N.Kuczwara (24) 15:33 T.Achtien*(27) 15:36
10/22 Proviso W Regional 1st – 22 pts
E.Dettman 15:18 M.Dettman (2) 15:20 N.Kuczwara (12) 15:30 D.Montgomery (13) 15:31 T.Achtien (14) 15:32
10/29 Niles West Sectional 1st – 28 pts
E.Dettman 14:54 N.Kuczwara (2) 14:56 M.Dettman (2) 14:56 T.Achtien (7) 15:01 D.Montgomery (24) 15:18

Outllook: The Dukes look for their 25th state championship under Joe Newton. They have been running great the last couple weeks, but I don’t think we have seen the best yet. They have a tight pack that will probably extend out if Eric and Matt Dettman go after the front runners. The key for this team is Dave Montgomery. If he can run with Nick Kuczwara like he is capable of, York could score 30 pts. This could be one of the best squads ever to run at York.

Frankfort Lincoln-Way East 4th - Bremen Sectional

9/3 Lyons 6th – 179 pts
M.Scott-Stirn* 15:40 K.Kirchner (8) 15:48 R.Revord*(12) 15:52 B.Troester*(51) 16:31 J.Hosty (65) 16:45
9/17 Peoria Notre Dame 5th – 184 pts
M.Scott-Stirn 15:11 R.Revord (17) 15:28 K.Kirchner (20) 15:31 N.Troester (33) 15:44 J.Hosty (45) 15:56
9/24 OPRF 3rd – 109 pts
K.Kirchner 15:45 R.Revord*(11) 15:56 N.Troester*(19) 16:04 J.Hosty (30) 16:15 M.Newman (55) 16:40
10/1 Crete Monee 6th – 215 pts
R.Revord 16:00 M.Scott-Stirn(3) 16:03 N.Troester (21) 16:21 J.Hosty (22) 16:22 M.Newman (38) 16:38
10/15 SWSC-Red 1st – 21 pts
M.Scott-Stirn 15:11 K.Kirchner (3) 15:14 R.Revord (16) 15:27 N.Troester (28) 15:39 M.Ferierra (39) 15:50
10/22 Bremen Regional 2nd – 39 pts
M.Scott-Stirn 15:31 K.Kirchner (3) 15:34 R.Revord (7) 15:38 N.Troester (26) 15:57 J.Hosty (28) 15:59
10/29 Bremen Sectional 4th – 110 pts
R.Revord 15:29 M.Scott-Stirn(6) 15:35 K.Kirchner (11) 15:40 N.Troester (26) 15:56 M.Ferierra (57) 16:26

Outlook: This team is on the verge of greatness. The question is: will one of their first 3 run with the front runners like they can. East relies on a tight 1-3 pack Myles Scott-Stirn, Ron Revord, and Kyle Kirchner. Their problem has been their fifth man. A split at 40 seconds and one of the front guys in the top 25 might be enough to get them in the top 5.

Glen Ellyn Glenbard South 2nd - Niles West Sectional

9/3 St. Charles East 1st – 49 pts
B.MacTaggart 14:56 D.Kuhlman (42) 15:38 B.Billie (47) 15:43 B.Wurtz (61) 15:57 T.Honig (70) 16:06
9/17 Peoria Notre Dame 1st – 87 pts
B.MacTaggart 14:46 D.Kuhlman (25) 15:11 B.Billie (31) 15:17 T.Honig (36) 15:22 B.Wurtz (48) 15:34
10/1 Loyola Lakefront 1st – 45 pts
B.MacTaggart 15:57 B.Billie (12) 16:09 D.Kuhlman (28) 16:25 T.Honig (29) 16:26 C.Mueller (41) 16:38
10/8 St. Charles East 1st – 24 pts
B.MacTaggart 14:44 B.Billie (29) 15:13 B.Wurtz (47) 15:31 D.Kuhlman (55) 15:39 T.Honig (58) 15:42
10/15 SPNC 1st – 18 pts
B.MacTaggart 15:09 D.Kuhlman (28) 15:37 B.Billie (31) 15:40 B.Wurtz (40) 15:49 J.Navaro (52) 16:01
10/22 Proviso W Regional 2nd – 45 pts
B.MacTaggart 15:19 T.Honig (44) 16:03 B.Wurtz (45) 16:04 D.Kuhlman (51) 16:10 B.Billie (62) 16:21
10/29 Niles West Sectional 2nd – 60 pts
B.MacTaggart 14:46 B.Billie (37) 15:23 D.Kuhlman (45) 15:31 B.Wurtz (46) 15:32 T.Honig (53) 15:39

Outlook: Coach Andy Preuss’s squad is ready to roll, bouncing back after a sub par performance at regionals. Bruce MacTaggart is running great and could be in the top 5 individually. A split of under 50 seconds with Mac up there gets them a trophy.

LaGrange Lyons Township 3rd - Niles West Sectional

9/3 Lyons 3rd – 94 pts
J.Nachel 15:32 N.Driscoll (45) 16:17 B.Falotico (56) 16:28 J.Discipio (58) 16:30 P.Busse (71) 16:43
9/10 Reavis 1st – 40 pts
J.Nachel 16:06 B.Falotico (23) 16:29 N.Driscoll (34) 16:40 D.DeRock (47) 16:53 P.Busse (53) 16:59
9/17 Peoria Notre Dame 10th – 346 pts
J.Nachel 15:00 N.Driscoll (48) 15:48 P.Busse (71) 16:11 J.Discipio (75) 16:15 D.Peterson+(75) 16:15

10/15 WSCS 3rd – 71 pts
J.Nachel 15:24 N.Driscoll (54) 16:18 J.Discipio (57) 16:21 P.Busse (58) 16:22 B.Falotico (75) 16:39
10/22 Argo Regional 1st - 23 pts
J.Discipio 16:11 D.Carlson (3) 16:14 D.DeRock (21) 16:32 S.Kehoe (26) 16:37 R.Topol (28) 16:39
10/29 Niles West Sectional 3rd – 146 pts
J.Nachel 15:04 P.Busse (51) 15:55 B.Falotico (55) 15:59 J.Discipio (63) 16:07 N.Driscoll (64) 16:08

Outlook: The Lions ran their best race of the season to advance. Jacob Nachel could be in the top 15 which would secure this team a top 10 finish…only if their split is under 60 seconds.

Lincolnshire Stevenson 5th TIE - Schaumburg Sectional

9/10 Wauconda 5th – 186 pts
R.Eckhardt 16:02 B.Silver (17) 16:19 O.Rose (111) 17:53 B.Wood (116) 17:58 J.Embree (120) 18:02
9/17 Warren 1st – 53 pts
T.Entwistle 15:10 R.Eckhardt (19) 15:29 B.Silver (43) 15:53 E.Traphagen (54) 16:04 O.Rose (79) 16:29
9/24 Palatine 9th – 262 pts
T.Entwsitle 14:26 R.Eckhardt (35) 15:01 B.Silver (50) 15:16 O.Rose (109) 16:15 B.Wood (115) 16:21
10/1 Peoria Central 6th – 261 pts

10/15 NSC 1st – 30 pts
T.Entwistle 15:05 R.Eckhardt (24) 15:29 B.Silver (48) 15:53 E.Traphagen (66) 16:11 O.Rose (83) 16:28
10/22 Libertyville Regional 2nd – 73 pts
R.Eckhardt 15:24 T.Entwistle (21) 15:45 E.Traphagen (64) 16:28 O.Rose (69) 16:33 B.Silver (75) 16:39
10/29 Schaumburg Sectional 5th T – 148 pts
T.Entwistle 15:22 R.Eckhardt (12) 15:34 B.Silver (45) 16:07 J.Embree (65) 16:27 O.Rose (72) 16:33

Outlook: The Patriots limp into Peoria after getting out of the Schaumburg Sectional. Tim Entwistle has run 2 average races and will need to be towards the front. Robbie Eckhardt has been consistent all fall. A great effort could get him in the top 25. This team’s success will depend on how Eric Traphagen runs…

Lisle Benet Academy 5th - Bremen Sectional

9/3 Plainfield C 1st – 35 pts
M.McCabe 15:46 N.Geyer (25) 16:11 M.Clifford (38) 16:24 N.Marchese (41) 16:27 B.Schroeck (61) 16:47

Outlook: Another team that keeps getting better and better. The Redwings advanced to their second straight state appearance by getting out of Bremen alive. Matt McCabe has been on fire the last few weeks and could be all-state. Benet is consistent with their split. They should be in the middle of the pack.

Machesney Park Harlem 5th - East Peoria Sectional

8/31 Ben Newsom 1st – 48 pts
J.Richardson 15:34 D.Whitmore (53) 16:27 B.Dresser (59) 16:33 A.Eddy (130) 17:44 J.Schneider (133) 17:47

Outlook: The biggest surprise team to make it down here. The last 3 weeks Harlem has run great with All-State runner Jared Richardson back in form. Ben Dresser and David Whitmore will need to be within 30 seconds of Richardson for this team to finish with a respectable showing.

Mt. Prospect (Prospect) 1st - Schaumburg Sectional

9/17 Libertyville 1st – 50 pts
M.Murray 15:35 D.Anczyk (9) 15:44 A.Baptist (23) 15:58 R.Craven (30) 16:05 N.Addante (48) 16:23

Outlook: The hottest team in the state right now. Mike Stokes’ squad is on the verge of picking up a trophy if they run the way they have run the last two weeks. Ryan Craven has stamped himself as an individual favorite. The key to this team depends on the performance of Mike Murray. When he runs good, the Knights place higher. He needs to be up there for Propect to challenge for the top. A split of under 60 seconds secures this.

Naperville Neuqua Valley 3rd - Bremen Sectional

9/3 Hinsdale 2nd – 70 pts

Outlook: Paul Vandersteen’s team may sneak in a get a trophy this weekend. They have all the right ingredients. Chris Derrick is running towards the front and the 2-5 split is staying on 35 seconds. This team relies on a tight pack…team running. This could be the formula for success and suprising a lot of people.

Naperville North 2nd - Bremen Sectional

9/10 Lake Park 1st – 55 pts
J.Kolacz 15:08 E.Pedersen (22) 15:30 J.Sadlik (48) 15:56 B.Fisher (48) 15:56 D.Kostal (80) 16:28

Outlook: Will David Racey’s team respond after a sub-par performance last weekend at Bremen. Jakub Kolacz has been consistently in the front all year. The thing that concerns me about this squad is their 5th man is getting farther and farther away from Kolacz. They will need a great performance from Kyle Sleik to return to Naperville with a trophy.

Normal Community 3rd - East Peoria Sectional

9/17 Peoria Notre Dame 23rd – 696 pts
C.Zook 16:03 J.Starnes (2) 16:05 B.McIntosh (33) 16:36 L.Campbell*(58) 17:01 D.Vanderlaan (67) 17:10

Outlook: Ran a great race at East Peoria last weekend with their best split of the year. Chris Zook has been the barometer of this team. If he runs good, so does the rest of the team. A repeat performance of sectionals will get this team in the top 20.

O’Fallon 5th - Edwardsville Sectional

9/3 Granite City 3rd – 102 pts
J.Eickmeier 16:29 J.Tierney (9) 16:38 T.Evans (10) 16:39 J.Anderson (18) 16:47 T.Stiewalt*(39) 17:08

Outlook: Even not running their best last weekend, Jon Burnett’s squad toes the line this weekend. Josh Eickmeier and Jack Tierney will need to be in the top 50 for O’Fallon to have success.

Oak Park Fenwick 4th - Niles West Sectional

9/3 Fenton 1st – 63 pts

Outlook: This was not their best race, but John Polka has his men down at the state finals. Jack Gerstner will respond to a sub-par run at Niles West to lead this team. Look for a great run also from Senior Mark Spadevecchia and the rest of this Friar squad.

Orland Park Sandburg 1st - Bremen Sectional

9/3 Lyons 1st – 41 pts
K.Adamowski 15:16 B.LaRocque (17) 15:33 J.Smith (30) 15:46 T.Sideras (34) 15:50 C.Archer (57) 16:13

Outlook: A team primed to get a trophy after winning their sectional. Kevin Adamowski should be in the top 25. The key to this team is their 5th man. They cannot expect to get a trophy if he is at 70 seconds behind Adamowski. If they can get a great effort from Archer or Young, Sandburg will challenge for a trophy.

Palatine 2nd - Schaumburg Sectional

9/3 Hinsdale 1st – 67 pts
S.Finley 14:56 E.Gonzalez (65) 16:01 S.Patel (660 16:02 M.Smoody*(78) 16:14 G.Morris (80) 16:16

10/29 Schaumburg Sectional 2nd – 80 pts
S.Finley 15:00 G.Morris (17) 15:17 M.Smoody (27) 15:27 S.Patel (46) 15:46 K.O’Brien (86) 16:26

Outlook: Where is Palatine’s 5th man? Steve Finley and Glenn Morris have been running great the last few weeks. They can place in the top 20 with Finley challenging for the top 5. Mike Quick may have to juggle his line up to get someone to step in. Palatine will not be in the top 5 with a performance like at Schaumburg. But they can take home a trophy if their 5th man is 20 seconds closer.

Outlook: The Rocks dream season continues. Rock Island looked great dominating the East Peoria Sectional. Austin Green could sneak into the top 25 with another great performance. Another split like that at East Peoria will get them into the top 10.

Rockford Jefferson 2nd - East Peoria Sectional

8/31 Ben Newsom 2nd – 49 pts

Outlook: The team has been running great the last few weeks even without a true front runner. This could hurt them this weekend. Their pack is tight, but it maybe too far back.

St. Charles North 1st - Waubonsie Valley Sectional

9/3 St. Charles East 2nd – 52 pts
M.DeSilva 15:06 C.Rosso (25) 15:31 M.McDonnell (40) 15:46 Z.Johnson (54) 16:00 A.Barbeau (56) 16:02

M.DeSilva 15:08 M.McDonnell (6) 1514 C.Rosso (19) 15:27 Z.Johnson (33) 15:41 S.Spear (34) 15:42

Outlook: This could be the one team that could challenge York. Matt DeSilva has been to the front all year. A great improvement from Mike McDonnell has increased the North Starts chances. If Chris Rosso can stay close to McDonnell and their split stays where it has been, North could put a scare into York.

Outlook: Another consistent effort from Coach Jim Macnider’s squad gets the Saxons back down to Peoria. Mike Spain has run great all year and could be in the top 25. If their 2-5 split stays within 15 seconds of each other, Schaumburg will have a top 10 finish.

Outlook: This team keeps running better and better each week. Justin Stewart and Aaron Iaun lead this young squad. A great effort from the Senators will get them in the top 20…a poor one could place them near the bottom.

Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 4th - Edwardsville Sectional

Outlook: The surprise school of the south. This program is on the rise. SHG has won most of the southern invites this fall with a tight pack. Chris Frank has been stretching it out more and more with great running. A young team that will get great experience from this state meet.

Wheaton North 5th - Waubonsie Valley Sectional

9/3 St. Charles East 4th – 144 pts

10/29 Waubonsie Valley Sectional 5th – 180 pts

Outlook: The Falcons have had interchangeable parts from their 4th through 7 mth men all season. The key for this team is getting Kadlec and Richert in the top 50 for Wheaton North in the top 10. They have a great 1-5 split, but it may be to far back for them to do any damage.

Outlook: The Tigers may surprise a lot of people this weekend. Even with a second place showing at Waubonsie, Jon Popejoy still is one of the favorites to take home the team trophy. Putting sophomores Michael Haggerty and Peter Casa in there have made this team more dangerous. Kyle Brady has to stay within 30 seconds for this team to be in the top 5.

Outlook: The Ramblers did not run their best race but still are running at Peoria. Tom Robbins and Bolton Ford have run side by side all season to make Loyola tough. Matt Heinz needs to be within 30 seconds for this squad to be up there.
