MW#2/Harrier US#12 Girls Bowling Green opened its season in dominating style at the Norm Bray Invitational on Saturday. The two-time defending state champions had the first four finishers and placed all seven of their runners in the top nine to easily best the field of eight teams with 16 points. Toledo Whitmer finished a distant second with 74 points. Springfield was third with 118, and Perrysburg finished fourth with 120 points.

BG's Christy Titus, the state individual runner-up in 2004, won the 5000 meter race in 19:16. She finished 30 seconds ahead of teammate Barbara Powers who was second in 19:46. BG's Paige Lane and Alyssa Glenn placed third and fourth, respectively, in 20:12 and 20:18.
