1. York, IL - Won a low-key dual meet and their "B" squad (none of their top six) took fourth at the presitgous Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  The varsity crew opens up their invitational season starting next weekend at the Palatine Invitational.
 
2. Columbus North, IN - They did not have any weekend competitions.
 
3 Whitefish Bay, WI - Whitefish Bay won their own invitational (5k) Friday evening, even with their number three man running sub-par because he was under the weather.  Steve Markson led the team once again, this time capturing the individual title in a time of 16:14.  WFB scored 27 points, easily outdistancing WI#16 Waukesha West by nearly forty points (64 points).  WFB's "B" team took fifth place overall.

4. Naperville North, IL - Finished a disappointing sixth place at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational (3.0m, flat).  They did run down a few of their top seven runners at the frosh/soph level.  Jakub Kolacz led the way in an impressive sixth place finish in the star-studded field.

5. Warren Central, IN - Traveling to an invitational just outside of South Bend, IN, Warren Central took home the top spot at the very tough New Prairie Invitational (5k, hilly, tough).  WC scored 151 points, outdistacing second place IN #3 Bishop Chathard by a mere six points, as well as beating MW #6 Carmel.  Warren Central was led by De'Sean Turner, who continued his impressive season with a big time win in 15:41.

6. Carmel, IN - Carmel traveled to the New Prairie Invitational and came away with a third place finish in a very strong field, that included a slew of top teams from around the state, including MW #5 Warren Central and IN #3 Bishop Chathard.

7. Palatine, IL - Finished second to top five Illinois team Glenbard South, who ran beautifully at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational (3.0m).  Palatine was led by Steve Finley, who took second overall, finishing in a great time of 14:41.  Palatine however, lost the team competition 87-124, as Glenbard South ran very strong up front.

8. Fremont, MI - Won the Ludington Invitational.

9. LaSalle, OH - LaSalle came back strong after a tough loss last week in Indiana and looked dominant once again, scoring 56 points at the Louisiville Trinity Invitational and easily outdistancing the second place team Anderson, OH (81 points). 
Ran a 16:21.9 average.

Girls
 
1. Clarkston, MI - Won the very tough Spartan Invitational (5k), beating many of the top teams in Michigan, including MW #5 Rockford.  Clarkston was once again led by the dominant force of the Morgan sisters.  Clarkston had three runners in the top ten, and looked very solid in one of their first real competitions of the year.

2. Waukesha West, WI - They split up their team into two seperate teams at the Marquette Invitational (4k, medium) and dominated the field, sweeping the top two teams spots, with nine of their runners in the top 17 spots.  They scored 57 and 61 points, outdistancing third place Janesville Craig by 30 points.

3. Naperville North, IL - Finished third to a very, very strong Palatine team and Sandburg squad at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational (3.0m, flat).  North was led by a great duo finish up front from Shannon Phelan and Michelle Stratton, who finished 2-4.  After those two though there was a considerable drop, as North would go on to score 118 points, as Palatine won with 84 points, nearly twenty points ahead of Sandburg for the title.

4. Carmel, IN - Carmel was beat by perviously ranked Valparaiso 98-99, and took second at the New Prairie Invitational on Saturday (4k, hilly, tough).  Carmel had the best pack performance of the day, but it wasn't enough to topple a very strong Valpo squad.  Ran an average team time of 15:34

5. Rockford, MI - Rockford took third place at the Spartan Invitational (5k), held in East Lansing, Michigan, at Michigan State University.  Rockford's Rachel Wittum did not run, but if she had this team would have placed second overall.  Rockford (143 points) lost to MW #1 Clarkston (93 points) and un-ranked Saline (126 points), who had a great performance in taking second.

6. Mason, OH - Running without their number two girl this week, who was out with an injury, Mason lost a close battle with Loveland, OH at the Alliance Running Invitational.  Loveland scored 84 points, outdistancing themselves from Mason by a mere 12 points.  It was a great race by both teams on the 5k course.  Angela Bizzarri led her team with a first place finish and continued to prove that she just may be the best distance runner in Ohio this season.

Cathedral, IN - Took home third place at the New Prairie Invitational (4k, tough, hilly) with 113 points.  Cathedral had the top overall finisher and a nice pack behind her, but it just wasn't enough, as nearly all the best teams in Indiana were at this invitational, which was won by previously ranked Valparaiso with 98 points.  Cathedral ran an average team time of 15:37.

8. Massillon Jackson, OH - They won the Spartan Invitational with a mere 55 points, as MJ continued to look very strong as this season has carried on.  Massillon Jackson was led by Emily Pritt, who took home the top individual honors, winning the very tough 5k layout in 19:06.  Massillon Jackson placed three runners in the top ten and their top six in the top 27 spots.  They had an average team time of 19:49.

9. Bowling Green, OH - Bowling Green returned back to their normal winning ways, as they took home the team title at the Galion Invitational in impressive fashion, as they easily outdistanced second place Magnificat by 39 points, scoring only 55 points.  Christy Titus looked like one of the best in the Midwest, as she took home the individual title for her team in a great time of 18:16 on the 5k spread.
