Boys-Girls

Boys

1. York, IL - York took a ride down to the Illinois state meet course, and came away with an easy win at Detweiller Park (3.0, fast).  Despite all of the negative attention the Dukes had during this past week, they ran a very solid race from top to bottom and proved that no matter what their mind is set on the bigger picture.  Matt Dettman and Eric Dettman led the charge with a solid 1-2 placing, while David Montgomery continues to shine, as he finished a strong sixth.  York has a lot of guys who will be going after those last four spots, which should drive all those guys to run even faster.

Warren Central, IN - They ran at their county meet on Saturday and looked great despite some slippery conditions.  De'Sean Turner led the squad, as he continued his winning ways winning the individual title for the third year in a row, on the 5k course in 15:31.  WC ran a great pack behind Turner, placing their 2-5 runners all in the top twenty against some of the best competition in the state.  The team scored 49 points, beating state ranked Perry Meridian by 59 points.  A great run for Warren Central as they prepare for their big conference meet this week versus MW #5 Carmel.
