Eisenhower Houston improved its US#2 time with a 40.75. Carter Dallas and Cinco Ranch also improved on their US#3 and US#4 spots with 40.82 and 40.97. This running finals opener confirmed that something was amiss as Scott Sellers did not run his usual leg #2 for Cinco Ranch. He had suffered a reported hamstring strain in the TJ.

4x200
US#1 Cinco Ranch fell behind early as they were again missing Sellers on leg 2. A strong anchor from sr Queito Teasley brought them up to gold in 1:25.19 – a time only they’ve bettered this year. Eisenhower Houston ran a US#2 1:25.31 to hold off a US#3 1:25.41 from Carter Dallas.

Just minutes after their girl’s quartet ran a US leader, the Marshall Fort Bend boys followed suit with a 3:10.51 US#1, all-time #28. Madison San Antonio got a fine anchor from 400m runner-up Quentin Summers to finish in 3:12.58 US#5.

TJ
Waco jr LaJerald Betters warmed up for his 400 title with a last jump 48-5.25 win. Cinco Ranch sr Scott Sellers matched that mark on his 1st attempt, but then apparently hurt his leg while fouling on his second attempt and passed in the remaining four rounds.
