Preview

Many of the SE top ranked teams are preparing for state meet preliminaries after last week's battle at Great American. A few are still looking to prove themselves.

Boys match-ups for this week

Roadies and SE #3 Hoover AL will travel east once again for the Furman Invite. There, they will face SE # 6 Parkview GA. Parkview's depth will be tested as Pinson is probable for a start Saturday.

Girls match-ups

Newly ranked SE #2 Oakton VA will get a test from formerly ranked C Milton Wright MD at the Glory Days Grill Invite. SE #10 Western Albemarle VA travels north to try to make some waves at the Manhattan Invite.

Erin Guglielmo did not run for Collins Hill at Great American. She's been out nursing an injury.

Furman Invitational

At Furman, the individual race should be a good one Undefeated Laurel Pritchard from Vestavia Hills and Emily Reese from Chamblee meet again for the second time this year. Pritchard beat GA's sensational frosh by 14 seconds at the Clara Bowl on Sept. 4.
Reese clocked a 17:45 at the ultra quick ALexander Invite last week. Pritchard won the Jesse Owens Classic over St. Paul's Tara Lenn.
