Ryan Whiting wanted to throw. So did Tayvon Gray. And so did a few other top shot putters who braved the snow and made it to Kutztown just as the storm was starting. Whiting, who already has the top throw in the US, popped a 65-4 to win his competition. And that's right, you read correctly. Tayvon Grayof Coatesville opened her indoor season, showing her talented sister how it's done. The Gray, went one-two, with Tayvon throwing 39-01, and Kaleena 38-10.25. Multi-sport talent Amy Backel of Northern had a big day, taking 3rd in the Shot Put at 37-01.50, and winning the High Jump by clearing 5-04.
