1/14-DVGTCA #6 @ Lehigh University -
In the long jump Janessa Murphy of Great Valley finished first with a US#11 jump of 18-3.5. She also won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.0. Second in the long jump was Ryann Krais of Methacton at 17-7.5. Nicole Leach of West Catholic turned to the short sprint and placed 2nd in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.6 and 2nd in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.0. Winning the 55-meter hurdles was her teammate Kanesha Sheard at 8.4 seconds. Also placing in the 55-meter dash was Krista Simkins, Wissahickon, who was 3rd with a 7.1. Krista also won the 400 meters with a time of 58.7 seconds. Other notable performances came in the 3000 meters and distance medley relay. Lauren Bowles on Upper Dublin won the 3000 with a very fast time of 10:20.5 and St. Basil and Hatboro-Horsham finished first and second in the DMR with times of 12:26.3 and 12:35.3. Also, Latavia Thomas of West Catholic ran a quick 300 meter time of 40.9 seconds for the win. Other top performances came from the high jump and shot put events. Natalie Miller of Boyertown jumped 5-4 to win the high jump and Karen Shump of Penncrest threw 40-3.5 to win the shot put.

1/15-TFCAGP D1 Meet #6 @ Lehigh University -
Cardinal O'Hara (Matt Willard, Keith Mayhard, Matt Van Thuynz, and Greg Thomas) showed their stuff in the DMR, winning the competitive race in a fast 10:49.8. West Chester Henderson was second in 11:05.3. North Penn won a fast 4x200, posting their fastest time of the season in 1:35.3. The Norristown boys ran very well, winning the 4x400 in 3:37.7 and taking 3rd in the 4x200 in 1:36.8. Also turning in top performances were Scott Sherwood of Pennridge in the pole vault with a jump of 14-0 and Nate Cox of Quakertown in the 60-meter dash with a run of 7.1 seconds.

1/15-TFCAGP D2 Meet #6 @ Lehigh University -
Steve Slaton made a huge impact at Lehigh the TFCAGP D2 Meet. The Conwell-Egan senior made his 2005 indoor debut going 6.9 to win the 60m dash, with only Perk Valley senior Brian Hurst giving him a run for his money, placing second in 7.1. Penn Charter's Kamal Marrel ran a quick 60m Hurdles, winning in 8.1. In the long jump Steve Henkelman of Strath Haven jumped 21-7.5 for the win while Max Westman of Lower Merion jumped 21-6 for second. Germantown Academy posted a fast 4x800, taking the gold in 8:17.5, and Penncrest's Mike Morganti won the shot with a throw of 51'7.5", making him still undefeated in league competition. And Bill Lordan of Great Valley ran a 9:10.8 3000-meter for the victory.

l/15-Dickinson HS Invitational #2 @ Dickinson College -
Ryan Fritz of Octorara capped his record-setting week in the high jump with a winning leap. The week began 1/8 as he tied and then set the PA indoor meet record at 7-00.25 1/10. His 6’9" effort in a competition where everyone else was finished at 6’0" speaks volumes. Also making national marks was Brianna Flagg of Harrisburg. She won the shot put with a throw of 39’4.5". Sarah Morrison of Chambersburg ran a strong 5:19.2 to win the 1600 meters.

l/16-Lebanon Valley HS Invitational #2 @ Lebanon Valley College -
Once again, the Triple Jump is a hot event in PA. Gettysburg's Darnell Johnson outreached Milton Hershey's Jon Okon by just 3.5", winning 44-07.25 to 44-03.75. Knowledge Timmons of William Penn in York was a triple winner, taking the Long Jump (20-11.25), the 55 dash (6.6) and the High Jump (5-04). For the girls, Jenny Green of Williamsport took the 200 in 28.2 and the 400 in 1:05.2. Eva Jansen, Spartan TC, also was a double winner, taking the Long Jump (16-06.25) and the 55 Hurdles (9.2h)
