The Distance Medley Relays heated up early this year in PA, as the
North Penn foursome of Cody Edling, Chris Dollinger, Phil Wright and
Sean Doyle pulled two other teams under 11, going 10:37.5.
Hatboro-Horsham was almost 20 seconds back at 10:57.4, while Cardinal
O'Hara was 3rd a half-second behind the Hatters. Kenneth Galley,
Khaliff Featherstone, kevin Galley and Rashine Turner pushed the pace
to a 1:32.7 4x200. Gratz also captured the Sprint Medley in 3:47.9. In
the field events, Jim Smith of O'Hara, cleared 6-04, while Council Rock
North thrower Shean Minnick won the Shot Put with a 53-06.50 effort.
The hurdles were the hottest event in Division 2, as Penn Charter's
Kamal Marell ran 8.1 for the win, with Malvern Prep's Elliot Whaley
just .2 back. And Penncrest's Mike Morgani won the Shot Put with his
toss of 51-01.
