The district and region meets are over, and the survivors converge on Austin for the Texas State Meet. There is a big game feel in the air on the University of Texas campus as crowds fill Myers Stadium for five sessions. This a place for speed enthusiasts, with three sprint relays counting 20 points for the winner. The only bone thrown to distance runners are the open 800, 1600 and 3200 meters.
