Later the Stanford bound Lambie anchored her 4 x 800 relay team, taking the baton in 5th place, some 100 meters behind the leader (Weston). RCA Dome Track Reborn
INDIANAPOLIS IN 2/10/03 -- The Indianapolis RCA Dome indoor track that saw 39 still standing NCAA Division I and Division II records was dismantled in 1999 and put in storage. Now, a coalition of Indiana organizations led by Butler University coach Joe Franklin have taken the 200-meter banked Mondo track out of storage and put it to use in a temporary facility at Plainfield IN west of the Indianapolis Airport. Several high school and college meets are being held this season. Story of the salvage effort. See how a "Track In a Box - some assembly required" was transformed from 11 semi-tractor trailer loads of equipment into a functioning indoor track.
