Announcement of Meet
Nike and the National Scholastic Sports Foundation are pleased to announce
the return of the Nike Indoor Classic. "Based upon the overwhelming
acceptance and success of the inaugural event, Nike has agreed to sponsor
this year's competition," commented NSSF spokesman Jim Spier. He continued,
"We're confident this year's event will, once again, be the premier event of
the indoor track and field season." The first Nike Indoor Classic was held
at
Columbus OH last March.
The NSSF has selected the Holiday Inn-Bloomington as the meet headquarters
hotel and has reserved a large block of rooms at specially discounted rates.
These will be made available upon mention of the Nike Indoor Classic.
