Omar Craddick (Killeen, TX) unleashed a PR of 49-9 to
defeat Chris Carter (TX). Craddick’s performance was a
picture of consistency while Carter was forced to limp
into the finals. Carter injured his left ankle in his
second attempt and was force to “three step” a 42’ to
get into the final. Once in the final Carter was able
to regroup and finish 2nd but he couldn’t find his
true form throughout the competition. 49-9 was the 3rd
best jump in the history of the meet. Following the
competition Craddick was pleased with his performance,
“ I was in my own zone but I was hoping for Chris to
be up there with me to improve the competition.”
