Boys - Track Eastern Carolina (New Bern, N.C.) and Newburgh Elite (Newburgh, N.Y.) battled back and fourth before sophomore Anthony Hendrix anchored Track Eastern Carolina in 47.4 to a come from behind win, 3:19.29 to 3:19.97. Newburgh time is the national leader as Track Eastern Carolina is an all-star team. Girls - James Logan (Union City, Ca.), running a team of Victoria Humphrey, Jamie Hardy, Thandi Stewart and Jackie Harrison, won in 3:49.41 to become the second fastest team in the nation this season. Teekay T.C. (Wilson, Long Beach, Ca.), running without Ebony Collins, was second in 3:53.03 and Cheetah Storm (San Jose, Ca.) was third in 3:58.28. Wilson’s time ranks the Bruins No. 4 in the nation. |

County (Gillette, Wy.) at 3:31.08 and Track Eastern (New Bern, N.C.) at 3:31.11. S.C.T.A (Long Beach,
Ca.), at 3:33.57, Davis B (Kaysville, Utah) at 3:33.61 and Transit Tech (Brooklyn, N.Y.) at 3:33.76 also
made the A final.
Girls - Teekay Track Club A (Wilson, Long Beach, Ca.) had the fastest qualifying time winning easily in
3:56.57. James Logan A (Union City, Ca.) was also an easy winner in 3:58.79 as just two teams bettered
4:00.00. West Coast Heat (Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.) at 4:02.37 was the next fastest qualifier followed by
Zyzyx/Awesome (Laurelton, N.Y.) at 4:02.64. Kryptonite (Colorado Springs, Colo.) at 4:03.62 and Cheetahs
Storm (San Jose, Ca.) at 4:04.74 were the final two qualifiers for the A Final.
