Professionals compete Friday night -- High Schoolers, Collegians, Masters, and Open on Saturday

Early into each calendar year, the nation's best aerialists flock to the Nevada casinos and head straight for the pits. Not the gambling pits... but the pole vaulting pits!

Vaulters are in 'hog heaven' at the annual Pole Vault Summit, an indoor competition contested in the expansive ballrooms of the host hotel.

Light shows, thumping music and an appreciative crowd make this a big favorite for all the competitors as they kick off the new year.

The professionals vaulters (with the likes of Stacy Dragila, Josh Hartwig, etc. competing in recent years) are at center stage on Friday night, with High Schoolers, Collegians, Masters, and Open competitors in action on Saturday.
