HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 9:03.33 3200 by Woodlands sr Alex Neff. Jumped to the lead at the gun, hitting 400 in 66.1. Cruised by 1600 in 4:29, flirting with sub-9 before slowing slightly on lap 6 and 7, then kicking home in 65.
    Full splits: 66.1, 2:13.5 (67.4), 3:21.5 (68.0), 4:29.7 (68.2), 5:38.1 (68.4), 6:48.4(70.3), 7:58.1 (69.7), 9:03.33 (65.23)

  • Eisenhower posts impressive 41.49 4x100 and 1:29.06 4x200 wins, with sr Brandon Myers as the lone returnee from last year’s #3 all-time 40.05 and #4 all-time 1:24.10 squad. He manned the anchor legs, a familiar spot for last year’s NON champions, and one he handled for the World Jr 4x100 silver-medal USA team in Beijing last summer.
    4x100 order: soph Tashawn Minor, sr Jacques Robinson, jr Kenneth Johnson, sr Brandon Myers
    4x200 order: soph Jarrick Wright, then same as 4x100 on 2-4

  • Woodlands sr Kristin Shulz clears 5-8 for high jump honors. Had a 5-5 PR coming in, but was over cleanly at 5-6, 5-7 and 5-8.

  • A&M sr Duncan Phillips, the Reebok Boston mile winner in his only indoor appearance, had relay duties this week, splitting 1:52.8 (7:58.98 4x800), 4:17.3 (10:26.94 DMR) and 49-point (3:25.78 4x400)

  • Other distance relay highlights included The Woodlands boys 17:54.40 in the 4x1600 and Cy Creek girls 12:15.08 in the DMR (Kingwood 12:25.66)
