Norman OK soph Cameron Tabor tosses 5th round 57-8.75 winner, after the previous thrower, Sharyland TX sr Mike Sanchez, had just taken the lead at 57-0.
Ardmore OK jr Geoffrey Tabor was the US leader at 63-10.75, but couldn’t get untracked today and finished 6th.

- I was just trying to get my technique right, not slip in the rain, and just get going. It was hard to get loose and warm because it was so cold.
- It’s awesome to come down from Oklahoma for a big meet like this, and get a win.

- I spin really fast in the back of the ring and was worried about slipping. I tried a half-spin in warm-ups and decided to stick with that. I’ve thrown over 60-feet doing that before.
- I did my best, but it just wasn’t quite good enough. I started to press a little too much with my upper body, trying to throw far, and my trajectory was too low.
GIRLS
Current US#1 Harding NC sr Kamorean Hayes was an easy winner at 48-1.75, passing her final 3 throws.
Kamorean (Kam) Hayes was the US#1 in 2006 at 52-2 (#10 all-time). She won this year’s Nike Indoor Nationals as well as the 2006 Nike Outdoor and the US Junior National
Only 6 girls competed in the cold, rainy conditions.
