Boys
  • Tates Creek senior Daniel Norman recorded the fastest boys time of the day and took the 3A state title with his 15:47.66 win over Trinity senior Keith Albrektson's 15:53.78.
  • Dupont Manual, with all five scorers in the top 25 scoring positions, won the 3A team battle over Apollo, 83-115. Trinity, fronted by individual runner-up Albrektson, ended up third with 139 points.
  • Senior Willie Polio led his Owensboro Catholic squad to the 2A team trophy with his 15:56.37 individual victory over Highlands senior Brian Mirrielees (16:01.92). Fronted by Polio, Owensboro Catholic placed three before Pendleton County's #1, cruising to a comfortable 65-125 margin over the runner-up Pendleton squad. Third place in the team race was Lexington Catholic, with 154 points behind Thomas Canary's third place effort (16:04.95).
  • With three runners in the top ten, including individual winner Gordy Dooley (15:50.70), St. Henry turned back a Christian Academy-Louisville team which placed all five scorers in before St. Henry's fifth. The final margin of 59-83 meant it wasn't far back to third place squad, Bishop Brossart, at 91 points.
Girls
  • Freshman Emma Brink of Sacred Heart easily ran the fastest time of the day with her 18:20.52 dismantling of the girls 3A field. Runner-up was Anna Bostrom (Woodford County soph), in 18:39.67.
  • Brink got her Sacred Heart team off to a good start, scoring wise, but they couldn't overcome a SE#7 Assumption team that placed all five scorers in the top 20 for a 55-105 win of the 3A team title over Sacred Heart. Assumption was led by the 5-9-10 finish of Ellen Daly, Allison Riedling and Sara Davis.
  • The 2A team compeition was a fairly tight one, with Bell County beating Muhlenberg South, 118-125. Bell County was led by Kelly Brown's 19:59.18 fourth place finish, while Muhlenberg South managed to get Morgan Poore into the top ten, to start the scoring with her ninth-place, 20:09.10 finish.
  • Pendleton County soph Kelsey McCain took the 2A individual title with her 19:22.60 clocking over Elizabethtown's Whitney Maurer (19:39.71).
  • The St. Henry girls' team made it a small school sweep, matching their boys' victory with a 1A title of their own. The girls win came at the expense of Walton Verona, 73-94, a winning margin achieved by cramming all five scorers before Walton Verona's third runner.
  • Kaitlin Snapp of Danville was the only girl in the 1A field to dip under 19 minutes, taking the individual title with her 18:58.45 run.
