- Hours after Ashton Purvis CA hit US#1 7.46 60m dash in Seattle WA, Takeia Pinckney (Titans TC/ Columbia HS GA) surpasses the mark with her own 7.45 in winning the 60, edging Newman GA sr Chalonda Goodman's 7.47. Note: A previous scoring error had Goodman 7.46 and Prior 7.48 as the 1-2 finishers.
- Quick Striders/Pendleton SC jr Jasmin Stowers tied the US#1 60H mark with a winning 8.55
- Fuquawn Greene (Track EC/New Bern jr) comes back from Friday's effort to double the 60 and 200 in US#4 6.80 / 21.55 (2nd best performance to his own 21.39).
- Already US#1, Throw 1 Deep/Kell GA sr Lauren Chambers heaved the weight 57-03.25 to top jr club teammate Patrice Gates' 54-06.75
- Greene's relay teammates, Anthony and Andrew Hendrix, take 1-2 in the 400 at 48.23 and 48.64.
- Goodman comes back to take the 200 in US#4 24.45 200 as four go under 25.
- Triple Action/Towers GA sr Brittany Porter leapt to a US#6 19-05 in the LJ
- Throw 1 Deep/Grayson GA sr Nabil Mubarak put the shot 57-10.50 to nip club teammate and Peachtree City GA jr Davis Fraker by an inch, but Fraker took the weight in US#6 68-02.50.
- West Charlotte NC sr Tadarrin Phronebarger ran 1:58.25 to win the 800
- Three ran between 58.05 and 58.10 in the girls 400 sections, but it was freshman Amber Bryant-Brock (Gazelle TC, GA) whose 58.05 was best.
- East Forsyth NC sr Aaron Zakula flew over 15-00 to win the boys PV
- Science Hill TN sr Allie Scalf easily took the 3k in 10:31.48
Friday Highlights
- Track Eastern Carolina, a quartet of New Bern NC stars - Anthony Hendrix (47.7), Fuquawn Greene (48.3), Miles Sparks (48.9), Andrew Hendrix (47.9) - hits 3:13.24 #2 time ever for all tracks, exceeding listed HSR and 2nd only on oversized tracks to 3:11.7 from Dallas Lincoln in 1970!
- Soph James Davidson (Carolina Road/Seneca SC) triple jumps 47-08.50 for the one-inch win over former US#1 Demar Forbes GA
- Throw 1 Deep's Breanna Radford (Alpharetta GA sr) nips teammate Lauren Chambers (Kell GA sr) in the shot put, 45-06.50 to 45-05.00
- Lauren Hutchinson (World Class/North Cobb GA jr) wins the PV with 11-06
- Newnan GA sr Chalonda Goodman leads girls 200 prelims with 24.52, while Fuquawn Greene of Track EC paces 200 boys with 21.56

- Briana Nelson - 53.45 (400) -- placed 3rd in the 400 at the Nike Outdoor National Championships in the 400 one of the top returning 400 runners in the country.
