We never get tired of THE MILE - US #1 by Robby Andrews!

The mile field gets ready to blast off, with eventual winner Robby Andrews 3rd from left.



At left, Nick Crits has the early lead; at right, Brian Leung grabbed it by 400 meters

"He who moves last ... " Willie Ahearn took it from Leung by 1200, then it was Doug Smith NJ at the bell, but the last lap belonged to Andrews.


4x800 ... Decided on the final lap
Somers had the lead during the first two legs of the 4x800, then Morris Hills grabbed it and tried to stretch it out in the third ...



... But the field really bunched up before the end of the third leg (Ieft)

During the 4th leg, several teams were still in it with a lap to go (right) ...



... but all Washington Township needed to do is give their anchor a chance ... and they sprinted to the victory in the final lap.

PA vaulted to victory in 15-06 (left), while Andy Kahl was best in the HJ at 6-08

Sprint Medley Relay ... also decided on final lap




Action from the first lap of the SMR (left); by the first exchange (right), Newburgh was slightly ahead ...

... Newburgh kept the lead on the 2nd (left) and 3rd (center) exchanges, and with a lap to go (right), but Absegami was closing in ...


In the end, Absegami powered to an impressive victory during the last lap, winning in 3:37.19 and relagating Newburgh to 3rd, 2 seconds back.
  

4x200 ... tired but happy

The winning foursome from St. Benedict's NJ ducked under 1:30 with their winning 1:29.50 in the 4x200.
