What is a Dad?

In track and field it is a person willing to come out to the field, sit in the hot sun, run for cover in a rain shower, sit on hard ground or concrete to cheer, smile, hug and to just say....good job.

Mark Twain....on fatherhood
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.

Jim Valvano...Basketball Coach
My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me.

Wilhelm Busch
Becoming a father is easy enough, but being one can be very rough.
