Boys
Toledo Rogers sr Eric Jones was on the brink of defeat at
6-6 when he missed his first two tries. But he skied the third attempt
with 7-foot clearance to get to 6-8 with Lawrence North's Jason
Williams and LaSalle's Chris Petit. Jones took the lead by making
his first try at 6-8 as Williams got it on his third try and Petit
dropped out. At 6-10, both Jones and Williams went to their third
try; Williams missed and Jones cleared to equal his PR. He has his
sights set on 7-2 for the Ohio State Meet at this same stadium later
this month.
