Jenna Timinsky had not beaten Julie Allen before and she tried something
different -- running back in the pack for the first mile and coming on strong
late. "I was nervous because I'm not used to playing off other runners; usually
they play off of me. We (Julie and Jenna) were neck and neck up Poop Out Hill,"
Timinsky said. Jenna passed Julie on the back of Reservoir Hill near the 2-mile
mark. Now Timinsky will turn to the California State Meet next month and
the Foot Locker West regional December 1 at Mt. SAC with confidence that she has
a chance to qualify for the national finals in Orlando December 8. "That's
my dream," Timinsky said. She has been a minute faster than last year in
all her races this year, so it may be a more than a dream. Jenna
