Girls 4x800

Boys & Girls beats Rockford
in national record 8:51.60

From left: Stacy Ann Livingston, Keziah Fernandez, Tameka Johnson, Meisue Francis

The girls of Rockford MI had won almost every long relay here for the last 2 years, but Boys and Girls NY showed on opening night that this is a new year. With their Caribbean import star Stacy Ann Livingston providing an unbeatable anchor split of 2:07.6, the Brooklyn school broke not only the meet record but the national record that they had set earlier this year at the Penn Relays. Rockford took a second off their winning time from last year, but it was not enough.
