North
Coast Section Predictions
Section Finals - Saturday, November 17th, 2007 @ Hayward HS
Albert Caruana
This year's North Coast Section (NCS) meet appears
to be one of the most competitive in recent memory. For every clear
favorite like the Carondelet girls in the Division II race, you
have 8 teams battling for 2 state meet berths in the boys' Division
I field, 4 teams with a legitimate shot for the boys' Division
III crown and 4 teams vying for the girls' Division V title.
This year's races will once again take place on the Hayward Course.
You can view the map of the course at the following link courtesy
of the Miramonte XC website:

You can also find a historical list of the top 10 times run for
each division on this course at the following link:

The following lists are my best attempts at predicting the finishes
for this Saturday's final. Compared to last year pre-meet rankings,
this year's predictions were far more difficult. The depth and
parity in each division should make for some very exciting races.
