October 30^th, 2006 - San Joaquin League (SS) League Finals held today at Irvine

Regional Park on the 3.0 mile course.

Boys:

Avalon won the boys title in their first year in the SJL after winning 3 of 4 cluster meets this season. 

They placed two runners in the top 3 (1st and 3rd) and averaged 44 points for the season.  St. Michael's,

Saddleback Valley Christian, and Bethel Baptist will be joining them at CIF D5 Prelims. 

Girls:

Saddleback Valley Christian swept to the girls title winning all four cluster meets and the league finals

with an average team score of 19.  Freshman Genessa Groos (SVC) won all 5 league races this season

and lead her team to a 1-2-4-5-6 finish at finals.  SVC, Connelly(D4), and Fairmont Prep will be running

at the CIF Prelims.
