Rankings 11/3/05

This will be the final SJS Individual
Boys ranking until after the State Meet. This ranking places a lot of
weight on the way runners ran during their league meets, many on the
Willow Hills course where the SJS Section meet will be held. Some of
these calls were difficult to make. More head to head competition (or
at least over the same course on the same day) will put a lot
of this fun speculation to rest. :-)
Last First School D Yr
1 Matthews Jake Folsom 1 12
Still running ahead of the pack…three wins and a top 10 at Mt.
Sac keep him in the top spot.
2 Gregg Brandon Davis 1 11
A league championship and a strong 15:10 at Mt. Sac allow him to hang
onto the second spot.
3 Patterson Marlon Franklin -- EG 1 12
Ran the same time as Gregg at Mt. Sac. A fine 16:19 at Willow Hills
at League confirms he's coming on strong.
4 Watchempino Evan Jesuit 2 11
A 15:47 at Clovis and a 3rd place at League as the frontrunner for Cali's
#2 NTN team.
5 Cannon Tim Rocklin 2 12
A 15:51 at Clovis and winning the SFL championship land him just behind
Watchempino.
6 Fernandez German Riverbank 4 10
This guy probably belongs in the #4 spot…and that may be too low.
A 15:34 top time at League Finals is impressive. Very impressive.
7 Kelly-Strong Jake Jesuit 2 12
Didn't run at League Finals but should return to form at Sub-Sections…a
strong 16:17 at the Bronco Invite.
8 Brook Dillon Ponderosa 2 12
Another League champion who posted a 16:53 on the most recent Willow
Hills layout. Moving up.
9 Benouar Samir Jesuit 2 12
Still running well nearly every week. A 16:01 at Clovis confirms his
role in Jesuit's chase for the D2 State crown.
10 Merrill Jeff Lodi 1 12
A 16:13 from Clovis is the last known performance for Jeff…may
be saving up for the bigger races on the horizon.
