At Irvine Regional Park - 3 miles!

EMPIRE LEAGUE
At Irvine Regional Park, Orange

The Empire League Boys final was a really good race, with Jersain Torres (Katella) and Jorge Jabaz (Orange Lutheran) running shoulder to shoulder for most of the race. Jersain pulled away in the last half mile to record a great time for the Irvine Park course (Old Orange County course), 14:54! He was physically and mentally tough. Jorge finished 2nd in 15:09. Valencia lost by 2 points, 5 of 7 runners had PR's, but our #3 guy was our #7 this race, and our #1 had an off day as well. Orange Lutheran ran a great race and the League title is shared with Valencia who won the cluster meet. Katella has really improved and is ready for CIF as well defeating a good Cypress team to place 3rd.

The boys JV race was won by Valencia's Nathan Learn in 16:38, with Jose Aldama 2nd, 17:11 also of Valencia, followed by Katella's Morales (17:21), Cruz (17:23), and Sanchez (17:36).Valencia and Katella are co-champions at the JV level.

The boys F/S race was won by Valencia's David Zhang in 16:48, followed by teammates Ivan Velazquez (17:00), Cameron Chubbuck (17:09), Ignacio Lopez (17:11), Katella's Pedro Carasco (17:20) and Valencia's Adrian Meza (17:22). Valencia won the F/S title.
