Yosemite High junior Fred Worstein (left) is the hottest
dasher in the state right now, dropping from 10.94, to 10.64 to 10.57
in recent weeks. He had a TERRIBLE start in the 100 and was dead last
at 30 meters, but closed unbeievably well to run the #2 wind-legal time
in the state this year! In right photo, Centennial's Brittany Grimes rolls
to a big 5:05.50 win in the girls 1600m!
Thomas Mack, Eric Taylor, Matt Mason and frosh Jimmy Chvala
(left-to-right) closed out the meet with a big 3:17.44 win, setting up
a potential showdown with the big dogs (Poly, Dominguez, Taft and Co.)
at the CIF-State Championships in Cerritos in two weeks!
