Paul Young and Oxon Hill celebrate
Paul Young's come-from-behind anchor in the 4x400, last race of the meet,
preserved Oxon Hill's lead and set off a huge celebration.

Start of last lap: Young sits in 3rd and must catch Suitland anchor Timothy Riley (red and white)
Young goes three wide at the top of the stretch to win as he and the crowd roar.

Two wins for Eleanor Roosevelt

4x200: Paul Young's 3rd leg brought Oxon Hill even with Eleanor Roosevelt's US#1 4x200 team,
by Roosevelt anchor Kyle Postell (right)
would not give up the lead.
55m: Relay teammates Joshua Allen (left) and Sammy Sesay battled each other in both the prelim and final, with Allen winning each time.

 

300: (left) Paul Young's first of four events totalling 32 points, a win in the 300 in 34.81, a meet record and US#9 this year.

500: (below) Gaithersburg sr Bryan Steele
wins in 1:05.06 to move up from US#8 to US#4

 

800: Suitland sr Timothy Riley 1:58.08
1600: Dulaney sr Billy Duffy 4:29.05 took the lead in lap 5 and held it to the end, although the margin over Fanuel Chageza was only 0.38.
