Girls 3200
Anita Siraki's style is to set all the pace and kill off the opposition with big negative splits. Sara Bei's style is to lag far back and kill the opposition with a long, strong kick. Each ran their race and the kicker won. Bei was in second after the 4th lap, made her move on the last turn, caught Siraki in the stretch (left below), and won by less than a second, with the pair taking the top two times in the nation this year a split second ahead of Arcadia champion Megan Kaltenbach of Colorado. Afterward, the future Stanford teammates were in arms for several minutes.
