The California State Meet and the 11/25 Foot Locker regionals added more than 400 times to the lists. This is the 14th list of the season, with only one two meets to go: Foot Locker West and Foot Locker national finals.
In using the lists to analyze the Foot Locker championships, bear in mind that many states run shorter distances for girls, and these times are not included. We only include 3 mile and 5k races, or ones that are very close (short by 0.05 mile or less). Therefore, many good female runners may not have a qualifying time in the Leader Lists but are, nevertheless, a legitimate contender in the Foot Locker regionals.
Notes on the new lists:
Boys 5k - With his 14:35 win in the Foot Locker Midwest regional, Michigan superstar Dathan Ritzenhein, defending national Foot Locker champion, now has the top 4 times and 6 of the top 8. His Virginia rival, Alan Webb, has the other two top 8 times.
Boys 3 Mile - Alan Webb's 13:57 for a short, but hilly Virginia course is still Number One.
Girls 5k - The California State Meet produced a new 1-2: Hoover Glendale CA sr Anita Siraki 16:59 and 2-time Foot Locker finalist Sara Bei 17:13. Siraki now leads both girls lists and she has the only sub-17:00 5k time this season.
Girls 3 Mile - Siraki holds the top 3 times in this list. Only two other girls have run sub-17:00 -- Julie Allen CA and Christa Benton FL.
