Boys & Girls ran a team with a member from each class, Sheena Garwood sr, Tameka Johnson jr, Stacey Livingston so, Akilah Vargas fr.. The only team able to go with them after the second leg was Pennsylvania's William Penn High School. The old record was held by Manchester Central NH (9:07.85), set at this meet in 1999. The Irish Road Track Club from Chester County PA, finished third in 9:16.93.
