Desert Mountain League

Yermo, CA - The Desert Mountain League held its first
competition on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Silver Valley High
School in Yermo, California. The competition was held in the desert
hills next to Silver Valley High School in very windy, hot, and
dusty conditions. The tough 3.0 mile course consisted of hills,
rocky surfaces, and sand. The front runner in both the boys and
girls race was from Manmoth High School, with the Desert Christian
Lancaster boys team controlling the next seven varsity spots, and
the DC girls the two though six spots. Despite the poor running
conditions, the race was run well by all teams.
