Fitsum Tesfa (holding team trophy) shifted gears along a challenging hill in the middle mile
to pull away from his fast-starting Don Lugo HS  teammates en route to victory in a high school
course record 14:13 at the annual "Sunset In The Park" 2.8-mile all-comers race on August 19th.
Tesfa, who has topped out at 90 miles a week this summer, did not show fatigue signs in the chute!
"I felt good. I was trying, but under control," said Tesfa, a senior who ran 15:11 at Mt. SAC last year.
