Nate Prince (McKinleyville (d. 4), gr. 12) won
the boys' race for the second week in a row,
crossing the line with the number 9 all-time mark
at Weott in 18:21,5. This put him 100m ahead of
Arcata H.S.'s (d. 4) Cat Corrigan (gr. 12), who
stopped the chronometers in 18:42,1.

In the boys' team competition, Arcata ran
1:37:00,3, the no. 5 team time in course history,
despite missing their no. 3 runner to a
scheduling conflict.

The girls race saw the number 2 all-time mark,
run by Arcata's Tiffany Knox (grade 11), who
crossed the line in 22:02. She was pushed all
the way by Eureka's (d. 2) Nicole Beare (grade
12), who ran the no. 4 best time ever at 22:08.

Due to a timing error, team times were not
available for the girls. Arcata edged Eureka by
points, though, just beating the Loggers 26 to
29.

The next meet for the H.-d.N.L. will be the
league championships, to be held at Trinidad's
fast 4,90km Patrick's Point course on Saturday,
06 November 2004.
