      Under sunny 78-degree skies many local runners saw their time drop significantly on this same course from six weeks ago. Mt. Shasta High School hosted rival Redding Adventist, along with Redding Christian, Fall River, Hamilton, Trinity and Yuba City who made the long trip for a change of scenery. Both Austin and Katie Fritzke dashed their own course records from a year ago. Katie ran away with the 2.4 mile race form Yuba City’s Megan   Fuller in a time of 15:12; an improvement of 1:10 from a year ago.
      Her brother Austin ran seconds ahead of Yuba City’s Brad Doering the entire race. Brad put on a terrific surge downhill the last 300 meters toward the finish and missed catching Austin by .3 seconds. Austin broke his 2003 course record time by: 46. -- Steve Nesheim
