From the Woodland perspective, it was a Great day! Our first Varsity boys
win in over 7 years! Nevada Union did hold out two from top 7 last year so
they have a bigger punch waiting.

Woodland's 5 year undefeated League streak came to a close today as a very
strong Nevada Union girls team showed that they will be a team to watch come
Sections our way. Woodland has lost the following State Meet participants
Mariya Townswick to the State of Texas for her senior year, Melissa Garcia
to the sport of soccer, Cassandra Ely to a season ending injury sustained
while driving in a local demolition Derby at the Yolo Co. Fair ths summer,
Annie Hehner to a job, and Brenda Rodriguez to the new Pioneer High School
in Woodland. Our girls are in a state of re-building with the exception of
Senior Melyndee Butterfield who hopes to return to Woodward park in late
November.
