Los Alamitos frosh Katy McRae, who until recently focused her athletic skills solely on soccer,
won the freshmen girls race in 18:23, one of the fastest times in meet history! McRae, who
also never competed in track at the junior high level, projects to have quite a career ahead!
In photo at right, Lakewood's Daniel Clifford fights through the pain barrier to win the sophomore
boys race in 15:29, only bettered by senior winner Damon Ferrera (15:26) of South Torrance!

Anthony Lacy and Jesus Contreras weent 2-3 for Paramount
in the sophomore boys race, finishing with identical times of 15:57.

Los Alamitos boys took first in the sophomore division and fifth
in the freshmen division. Looks like the Griffins are on an upswing!

Los Alamitos girls performed very well to place second in the freshman race,
including having the freshmen race winner, Katy McRae!
