Note: Divisions below are based
on CIF-SS enrollments. Meet management
reserves the right to delineate the divisions based on its own judgement.
- DIVISION I (16 schools)
- Ayala
- Cathedral City
- Chaffey
- Chino
- Diamond Bar
- Don Lugo -- Boys ranked #1 in
CIF-State Division I
- Esperanza (boys only)
- Glendora
- La Sierra
- Los Angeles
- Murrieta Valley -- Boys ranked
#4 in CIF-State Division I; Girls ranked #4 in
CIF-State Division II.
- Palmdale
- Redlands
- Rialto
- Rowland
- Temescal Canyon
- OUTLOOK:
Don Lugo favored to win the boys title, with Murrieta Valley heavily
favored to win the girls and the Murrieta Valley
- girls 'B' team likely to place as high as third in
the division.
- DIVISION II (12 schools)
- Antelope Valley
- Bloomington
- Brea Olinda (boys only) -- Boys
ranked #6 in CIF-State Division II
- Buena -- Girls ranked #9
in CIF-SS Division II
- Cajon
- Claremont
- Edison (Hunt. Beach) --
Boys ranked #9 in CIF-SS Division II; Girls ranked
#8 in CIF-SS Division II
- El Modena -- Girls ranked #10
in CIF-SS Division II
- Elsinore
- Katella -- Boys ranked #7 in
CIF-SS Division II
- Redondo Union
- Westlake
- OUTLOOK: All
three ranked boys teams here are missing at least one key scorer. That
said, look for unranked Antelope Valley to
- challenge for
the win and move into next week's rankings. On the girls' side, three
teams bunched together in the rankings meet up!
- DIVISION III (7 schools)
- Barstow -- Boys ranked #2 in
CIF-State Division III
- Bonita
- Burroughs (Ridgecrest) -- Boys
ranked #7 in CIF-State Division III
- Northview
- Rim of the World
- Santa Margarita (girls only) --
Ranked #7 in CIF-State Division III
- St. Lucy's (girls only)
- OUTLOOK: Barstow's
boys chose to cruise here last year, relying on experience to roll come
postseason. With a younger group this
- time, we think the crew might be slighty
more aggressive in picking up some experience here. Burroughs will be
without one key
- scorer this week. Santa Margarita's
girls have a good chance to win the CIF-SS title by season's end.
- DIVISION IV (1 school)
- Chino Hills
- DIVISION V (2 schools)
- Boys Republic (boys only)
- Western Christian
