Bosco Tech Invitational - Legg Lake - Sat 9/13/03 (SS)

St. John Bosco, hampered by a few summer injuries, comes to the invite loaded with talent. Junior Randy Skillens, seniors Luis Uribe and Ephraim Barrios, and sophomore Jonathan Batres lead a strong Brave team. Loyola, led by super juniors Mark Matusak and Matt Miller and senior Mark Takata, will compete with Bosco for the Large Schools title. Look out for Upland, with tough senior Sergio Gonzalez and junior Alex Greenberg, to fight with Arcadia for the top honors should the top two teams falter. Garfield from the CITY section has seniors Valentin Jimenez and Ivan Perez and junior Robert Hernandez up front. Host Don Bosco Tech is led by seniors Anthony Flores and Jarrett Yanez. In the Small School Division, junior Andy Smith will pace Maranatha for the title while senior Sky Johnson will try to lead the Desert Christian Knights pass the Minutemen. Senior Will Perez and St. Paul will battle the tough Cathedral Phantom pack for the other trophy in this division. On the girls side, senior Tracey Klutschkowski leads Upland against a tough CITY team, South Gate and junior Gladys Padilla, for the girls' Large Schools title.
