Tom McLean (Flintridge Prep) junior had a goal of breaking 16:00 in this affair, which he did in leading the State Small School power to a 22 point total in this local La Canada/Flintridge area competition at the Rose Bowl course. FP Coach Ingrid Herskind commented on her pleasure with the effort of soph Nick Miller, who finished fourth in the contest at 16:58.

Famed La Canada HS distance star Andy DiConti had his first coaching effort for the Spartans involve a group that graduated three of the top six from an eighth place Statewide Div III finishing group, with this year’s team far more than just a passing grade first time out. Soph Michelle Drugan stepped up to lead the LC group that raced to four of the top five finishing places in a comfortable win with 20 points! Ranked area-wide or state-wide Flintridge Sacred Heart (48) and Flintridge Prep (54) trailed LC in the quality contest!
