By the way, Lindsey did not stop and celebrate a victory as described. She really thought the finish line was 20 yards ahead of where it actually was. They had the finish chute out 20 yards ahead and a lot of people around the finish area. As she hit the beginning of the chute she thought the race was over and had a very comfortable lead, but no one at the finish line said a word until after the KU girl passed her- no big thing and a good lesson for Lindsey in her first race.
