along the final four laps, ripping a 4:51/4:22 negative split win. The 9:13 win broke the HS meet record, with Ryan Hall's 8:55 or so achieved here when they had an Open session race. Mighty mite

Duarte's Mohamed Trafeh ran a smooth 4:51/4:22 negative split en route to a 9:13 HS meet record (Ryan Hall's
8:55 or so a few years back came against open competition) to beat a great run by Covina's Andrew Tachias (9:20).
In the girls race, Corona's Alma Escobar (left), moved with 800m to go en route to breaking up a close battle with
St. Paul's Lauren Magdaleno. Escobar's 10:57 just beat Anita Siraki's HS meet record. Magdaleno clocked 11:06.
